I Know What It’s Like to Wonder If You’ll Ever Feel Safe Again

Hi, I’m Erica.

When sexual betrayal entered my marriage, I wasn’t prepared for what it would do to me.

The racing thoughts. The triggers. The need to know what was true. The feeling that the life I knew had suddenly become uncertain.

I wanted to know how to fix what had happened—and how to feel safe again.

Over time, I discovered something that changed the direction of my healing:

My recovery couldn’t depend entirely on someone else’s recovery.

I needed support for me.

I needed to understand my responses to betrayal, grieve what had been lost, recognize safety, establish boundaries, trust my own perceptions again—and bring my wounded heart honestly before God.

That realization eventually became the heart behind Beyond Betrayal.

Today, I help women find their own path forward.

You may desperately want your marriage to heal. You may want your husband to change. Those things matter. But you don’t have to put your own healing on hold while you wait to see what he will do.

Through trauma-informed, Christ-centred coaching and soul care, I help women rebuild safety, find their voice, establish healthy boundaries, reconnect with their identity in Christ, and move toward greater stability and hope.

Not by telling you whether to stay or leave. Not by promising a quick fix. And not by asking you to simply “forgive and forget.”

Instead, we make space for the whole person—spirit, mind and body—to heal.

This work is personal to me.

My approach is shaped by both lived experience and professional training. I’m a Certified Coach, hold a Graduate Certificate in Biblical Care and Counselling, and am currently completing a Master’s degree in Clinical Pastoral Counselling.

But betrayal no longer defines my story.

What happened to you does not have to define the rest of yours, either.

There is life beyond betrayal.

And you can begin by taking the next step toward healing you.
